:bulletblue: Here on dA we have so many web designers but little did i know that we had so many big names here that design stuff for like NBA stars and whatnot! My god i'm new to dA!
:bulletblue: Apart from the traditional design schemes, this week has seen some new attempts at creating a new scheme. I am also glad to see that people are actually starting to submit stuff for the showcase although till now i did not find stuff worth featuring. What i look for in a design are not fancy graphics or flashy colors or effects but how different that design is from the rest that i've seen till now, when i find a design i have'nt seen before, i go ahead and feature it and this process takes place every 5 minutes on dA!! So its virtually impossible to feature all of them so go ahead and make my day, submit some designs!

:bulletblue: Ok! I'm back with a new issue of WDL which started last week on the 18th Dec with the first installment of The Web Designers Lounge.
Last week after featuring some of the works from the known and unknown, i realized i had missed so many more works from so many people! lol.. And in this issue i've tried to make up for that mistake by bringing you the best from the best!
I was a little disappointed when i saw that there were no submissions from the members side.. So i ask people to please come forward and make my work easier! lol.. Show some support for our little community and submit some works!
This week has seen some of the best work from various artists! It's like the artists are now opening up their bag of tricks as the year rolls towards an end, saving the best for a spectacular end! But like after every sad end, ther

:bulletblue: Creativity is the basis of art. All artists possess a certain amount of creativity in them to turn out with spectacular pieces of art.
And web designers are no less. Being a web designer myself, i know what goes into making a site. As most people would think, web designing is not about adding rollover effects to a flashy page. Its about how fluent you are with your creativity. You need to  imagine new things and things that have'nt been done yet, and thats not easy.
Daily, we see hundreds of sites being launched. The amount of competition web designers face is immense. All clients want their websites to look different from the rest and to stand out from the regular ones. Here is where the web designers skills are tested. Here is where the creativity is put to test on a race track already having hundreds of competitors racing ahead. Its all about that ONE THOUGHT!

Getting the most out of your CSS Journals Six
Welcome to part six of Getting the most out of your CSS Journals! I can't believe how far these articles have gone, and the support and questions I've been receiving about CSS and such. I'm actually on time with the article this week, and we have some great journals to showcase, as well as a few neat gadgets to showcase, such as adding an official-looking stamps box to your page, displaying CD covers when you hover over a link, and much more. You still reading this intro? Get moving onto the first section!
Official-looking stamp boxes in your journals!
A LOT of people on dA use stamps. And why not? It's the best way to show your support for a club, person or something totally random. But sometimes you don't want to shove them all at the bottom. It's just too much of a pain, and can sometimes break your layout. So what to do?
Surely you know of dancewiththesky 's deviantEXPERIENCE, which not so long ago won a DD? This guy just doesn't know when to stop with the awesome ideas

Steal This CSS Is Now Live!
Welcome to Steal This CSS! Our mission here at STC is to produce & provide the deviantART community with free, high quality CSS journal layouts. These layouts will be well coded and designed by a team of CSS designers.
Our CSS layouts are designed after a wide range of influences, from games to websites to movies. A few examples of these influences are Ecko Unlimited, Casino Royale, Windows Vista, Motorola, Coca Cola, Marc Ecko's Getting Up, and many more. We will be updating our database with more journal designs than you can handle.
How does STC work? Simple. Each week we will release a journal featuring one of our CSS layouts. After this layout has been on display for a week, the winner of the layout will be chosen, depending on certain contest criteria (we will change up how you win each week). Each winner will be awarded the exclusive rights to that CSS layout, and a one month subscription. We do this is to ensure that even non-subscribers have a chance to participate in this comm

Vexel Art Gallery
Vexel gallery?  What?  Wait, we don't have a vexel gallery. Well, we will soon and that's why I'm writing this news article.
Over the next few weeks I am going to start to put together all the subgalleries for a proper vexel gallery. Yes, that means we will officially have a legitimate vexel gallery of its own. This new gallery will be in the digital gallery section in a place of its own, just like vector has its own area. Before we do that, all the categories have to be hammered out and sifted through to see which ones are needed and which ones we can live without.
First off, if you're not completely sure what a vexel image is, read this vexel description. After digging around on the net, that's a great source of information about the medium. Hats off for such a clear and easy to understand definition.
This is going to be completely new so how the other digital galleries are set up are not important. Subgalleries

Getting the most out of your CSS Journals Five
Ah yes welcome back! Yes it's been two weeks already, and a day over too. Sorry about that. But all that aside, let's begin with part five (wow!) of Getting the Most out of your CSS Journals. If you want to read the rest of the series before you look here, make sure to read: Getting the most out of your CSS Journals!
Side menus
Marker-Guru suggested this, and I thought I'd give it a shot. It's the standard Side menu. Nothing flashy about it, it's just a menu at the side that holds your links, stamps and whatever. This code can easily be adapted to hold your other information, or whatever you like:
CSS:
.menu {
width:20%;
right:0px;
position:absolute;
background-color:#FFFFFF;
text-align:center;
}

HTML:

Put your information in here

It's really that simple! Just make sure to pretty it up with some background images (background-image:url(whatever.gif); ) and position it wherever you like. I
